A Jumbo Hundred

It was a jumbo hundred and no Cricket fan in India would have missed watching it today. The [:http://content-ind.cricinfo.com/engvind/engine/current/match/258470.html|second day of the test match at Oval] between India vs England was all batting to watch unlike the last two test matches where the Cricket ball ruled the contest. It came as a surprise to see Kumble stick to the crease and bat like he did - the innings was full of several surprises, not to mention the kind of stroke he played to get to his century! It brought laugh on to people watching it, but Kumble really deserved the century. Congratulations to Jumbo!
A little more about Anil Kumble
(for those who do not follow Cricket much)
Anil Kumble also is the Cricketer from our state Karnataka in India, and he's a Kannadiga in the team along with skipper Dravid (More Cricket glory to Karnataka). He's also three [:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wickets|wickets] short of becoming the third highest wicket taker in the history of test Cricket.

Kudos to Anil Kumble, for
Kudos to Anil Kumble, for getting 100.
I recall another similar 100, he scored in a Ranji match against Andhra.
But there he was battling to save the match on the lastday & Anand Katti gave great support.
Srishanth also deserves praise for both holding nerve and showing vigour, while supporting Anil to his 100.

yeah, much deserved Kudos to
yeah, much deserved Kudos to him.
I haven't followed Ranji matches much. A 100 while saving a match must have been worth more than this one, but a 100 in an International test match would make a lot of difference on how people see Kumble in future. He might even be called a 'bowler who became an all-rounder by the end of his career'! ;)
